Hi all,

I am using Ahrefs to find backlinks of my competitors and then rebuild them for my own website (especially interested in all the freelinks like forum links with DR 20+).
But after analyzing dozens of websites I come across the same domains again and again and I wonder if there is any better tool or method for finding EVEN MORE freelinks (forums, profiles, blog comments) of my competitors.
Do you have any suggestion?

Try to find broken links on the competitor's websites and offer your links as replacing.

Why will he accept that offer ?

I mean, I don't know the kind of competitors you have, I don't see why I would accept such an offer. Even when it is paid, I still won't accept.

@OP check your competitors backlinks sources and see if you can get backlinks on same sites by contacting the site. On some sites if you go upfront offering to pay you'd get a response on others(mostly very big sites) you need to convince them you've been writing high quality content and have something really good to offer, this group many times would not give you contextual backlinks or they'd just give you a no follow link.

I prefer the first group, offer them money and they accept. Easy and simpler.

Why will he accept that offer ?
To make his website more functional again, to satisfy the needs of his readers. I believe it's simply a part of great articles, to share some resources through it & useful links. I mean, he did share the link in the first place so, he obviously wanted to take his visitors there for some reasons. Now it's a dead link & that could even hurt his site.

there is a filter for 1 link per domain, use that.

for more links, find more competitor. and build links there too.

or you can get an idea from competitor links that what type of links works in your niche, then try to grab that type of links.

It is one of the methods that he can use, and why not, if he has good content why someone who already links to other websites doesn't accept good content in replacement for something that is not useful anymore (like that broken link that goes nowhere) instead he got new fresh link to good content website with 0 efforts.

exactly

I see it would be tough to find more links with Ahrefs only.
Maybe does anybody know a way of scraping a list of forums nad have some AI filter it by category? Like I would like to scrape the net for only german soccer forums or only english cooking forums? Any tools for that?

Along with those common links also try to create more links manually using Guest Posting and business listing. Also, create more Do-Follow backlinks.

Whoever is looking for will always find it. I find 10-20 competitors. Usually this is a casino theme and an essay, since there is a greater probability that you will not be banned. I look at the Total item in Ahrefs BA and I can see where the most backlinks are.
