How to find domain owner?

Hey,

I've found a domain that was used by a legitimate business, but is no longer in use.

Got quite nice metrics and I'd like to buy... but I can't find who owns it at all. So far I've tried:

Who.is
Linkedin
Domain Agents (Pay them $20 and they'll try and get in contact with the domain owner)
Google searches
Facebook
Twitter

Is there anywhere else I can try? I literally cannot find these people to save my life!

Actual domain registrant?

Like, type the domain into godaddy (or any other big registrant) and see price and if offers contact?

It doesn't show that data when I use any large registrant - I believe they use whois data for this anyway.

That's right. It doesn't show owner, and there is no way around to find out. It does show price and maybe contact email or phone (if domain is premium and soon to expire).
