Hello.
Until a few months ago, I had a great client and was earning a good income by working on web and blockchain projects.
Unfortunately, due to the client's incurable illness, I am currently trying to find new clients on the cloudy lancer recruitment site.
But it is really hard.
How can I find a clients?
Anyone can help me?

Fiverr, Upwork, and Freelancer are all sites you have most likely already heard of, but they are made for people like yourself, so I would definitely recommend trying them out. This will be one of the quickest ways of getting yourself out there(other than ppc advertising which you might also want to look into).

Upwork and Fiverr are good platforms. Freelancer is not a good platform. Also, you can run Google ads on your personal portfolio website if you have one.

I think 1 is being really goood at what you do and having a good portfolio on display. Clients Like to have confidence in their developer and want to know that the developer understands what they need. Ask important questions when the client presents what he wants from you. This part is important because it lets the client know that you were competent enough to understand his request, and think critically of shortcomings that may need to be dealt with. This will improve your odds of securing the gig.

Next, get lucky and find a long term partner who needs your services and can afford you. Sometimes you will find people who are startups and dont have a big budget, but maybe if you give them a chance, they will grow with you.

I think your advice is good and suitable for me.

However, on the freelancer site, there are so many people bidding on one task, and it seems difficult to be sure whether it can lead to a long-term relationship.

I've been on both sides, as freelancer and as a employer. Now mostly hiring, sourcing for partners via: word of mouth, Linkedin business, Fiveer, Upwork, Facebook groups, BHW, agencies etc. Best is definitely via recommendation from sources we trust, believe same for you. Ask your fellow devs if someone is hiring.

Our next choice would be a freelancing platform, mass of talent, convenient, some protection. Linkedin works well surprisingly, I get from time to time some DMs, talked with some agencies as well. For you specifically I would say join communities where business people hang around related to your industry, web3 AND it's not crowded with all possible profiles - like the freelancing platforms. As a newbie I doubt you're to get some serious job via freelancing platforms.

BHW is good I believe, there are for sure Telegram, Facebook, Discord groups from your industry. Post there a thread and when posting tell briefly what you're good at and possibly share a link to your personal page, github, linkedin. You need to to grab the attention of the reader, ask them to reach out if interested. Now for example your potential employer could be reading this, but you didn't provide much info. Don't expect they're to reach out to you, if they didn't recognize value, its' an opportunity missed. There are also specialized agencies out there, but do have a screening process so it may take a while to get boarded - they can find you a job, taking a cut.
Hope this gives you some ideas, GL ;)

Thank you for your post. I think there are so many scammers on Telegram and Discord :)
Do you by any chance know good community in Discord, TG group where no scam?

Well they're scamming folks for money, not that much to scam you as a dev. I mean if they're hiring - they need a project, whitepaper, existing code smth :) Join an existing project, not a wannabe project with "you get shares" :) No, I'm not in the web3, DYOR...use AI to source for this. Or on Facebook, there are plenty of groups where developers chat about projects, experiences, start with local groups in your country maybe. Best of luck

Nice explanation

freelance exchanges, I received a lot of feedback on small orders so that you would be chosen

Hey, I have some long term buyers who usually buy social media accounts, mainly Linkedin accounts. If you can do this, you can make hundreds or even thousands of dollars a day

I don't thinkg you can find good client from upwork/fiverr etc unless you coming from 3rd tie country

To find clients as a developer, build a strong online presence by showcasing your portfolio on platforms like GitHub, LinkedIn, and a personal website. Additionally, network actively in relevant forums, attend meetups, and explore freelance platforms like Upwork or Toptal to connect with potential clients.

I'm sorry to hear about your situation. To find new clients, focus on networking by joining developer communities, attending industry events, and engaging on platforms like LinkedIn and GitHub to showcase your expertise. Additionally, consider reaching out to past clients or colleagues for referrals and explore niche freelance sites that cater specifically to web and blockchain projects.

Upwork and Fiverr are good platforms, if you have a personal portfolio website, you can run Google ads on it.

You wont get very far on platforms like Fiverr or Upwork without reviews. Also you should know that these platforms takes their cut from your payments.
