Hi, I’m wondering if there is a way to find expired/for sale domains that have links from specific high authority sites. I know that once you have a domain in mind, you can check its backlinks, but I want to go the other direction. I want to know if there are available domains that certain sites are linking to. I’m in a competitive niche and many of these would be EAT sites that don’t sell backlinks and there’s no other way I could get links from them. I would 301 redirect the domain to my existing site to give it more power and possibly traffic.

Is there a website, service, or person who can help me do this?

I apologize if this is a newbie question, I am new to the domain SEO side of things.

I've used software for this purpose.. I'll PM you in regards to it.

You could try tools like domcop or spamzila, or maybe go with expired domain list provider like hammerheaddomain etc :)

This is one of the classic usage of premium tools like Ahrefs or Semrush, and surprisingly, very easy to do.

First input Bloomberg.com (any domain you want to get links from) in the search bar of Ahrefs.com, then you go to all outbound links section, in this section, you can check all domains bloomberg.com once linked out, so you get this list, let's say, total 10K. Now you are sure, this 10K domains all get at least 1 backlink from bloomberg, good.

Next, go to a bulk domain checker tool like Godaddy, Dynadot, to bulk check which domain is still available to register from all this 10K domains, lets say, finally you get 50 domains, that means, this batch you can register free and also they all get a backlink from bloomberg.

The final step is carefully check this 50 domains to see, which one is good, then register, then 301 or whatever to want from them.

Many people shared detailed guide of this usage before. Above just a simple text version. In reality, its really easy to do.

Yep.

The easiest way is with ahrefs.

Then you can check marketplace.

BUT! I would first read more on SEO before trying things like redirects. ;)

The Ahrefs method is working for me, thank you!
