How to Find an Android Niche?

Hey guys,

I've used sites like AppBrain to analyze the Play Store and potentially find niches, but it doesn't seem to have in depth enough information (or maybe I am not using it correctly). Could you guys provide resources or methods as to how to find a good niche for Android? I know I need something which is trendy, but doesn't have a ton of competitors. Thank you!
