First off I'm a complete noob at this so sorry for the noob questions.

I finally decided to take the first steps and make a few blogs to test out generating traffic. Without doing niche research, I made a Skyrim Mods blog that has ~100 hits after 3 days. I read of some people getting 10 hits/hour just by picking the right niche.

It was basically a test blog, but now that I have experience with creating a blog and such I want to start making some better ones. I was looking for advice on niche research and how to get keywords.

Thanks in advance

I also have SEO Spyglass and SEnukeX

Go to GAKT and look for keyword that has stabil trend.

But if you like to update daily, you can choose a trending topic. You can see trending in twitter or in google trend.

100 hits in 3 days is good for newbie, i remembered my fisrt time ago that i reach my first 100 hits in 1 months. OMG.

"Getting hits" is nowhere near "making money". You can have a funny pictures site that does 10k hits a day and makes $15/day. You can have a site selling a product that does 10k hits a day and makes $1500/day.

Niche research isn't only about numbers, it's about the mentality behind the keyword.

This is my method for finding worthy niches.

First, I love writing about that topic.

Second, i want it to be a 'good karma' niche, meaning helping solving people's problems.

Third, enough traffic (more than 10k / month)

Forth, evergreen (see Google Search Insight)

Fifth, marketable products (both physical and digital)

As a final word of advice, optin = bliss!

Thanks for the resources. I'll do some research and plan the next one out better.

Also thanks to the other posts. That's a good point that hits != profit. I'll keep in mind about how I can monetize different niches and keep doing my research.
