How to fight Paypal Chargebacks ?

I would also agree with jstover77 idea - tell them you will do some serious SEO and Social marketing on your pages with their site's keywords and result in most of the searches for their services ending up on your pages, exposing their fraudulent behaviour.

And if they offer a settlement after first bitter experiences, it'll be easy for you to change the content of those pages PLUS ask for some PR money for the positive publicity on the pages that will by then be nicely indexed on page 1 of G. This could nicely compensate your additional SEO/SEM efforts.

Going this way will be doubly profitable for you and even adds extra value for them, once they play fair again.

Next time dont use paypal. Use escrow or Elance for such jobs. You should have known better friend.. Best of luck in the future though

Got their ftp or cpanel info? Take the site you created back down...request a Western union where they can't dispute it...

When I do work for clients that are new and / or untrusted I always install scripts in my work so I can take down the site if they pull such nonsense. I had one client about 4 years ago actually moved the site I built for him to another server thinking he would get away without paying me and have it someplace I couldn't touch it. I took down his site twice before emailing him and letting him know the next time I'm deleting his 5 year old database along with the site. He had his new web guy digging and digging for all the backdoors I installed but finally paid me after I deleted his site the third time and gave him 24 hrs to wire me the money before I wiped his database.

Later he appeared on a forum ranting what a bad person I was for installing backdoors and taking his site down without warning. I just responded that when you hire someone smarter than yourself to do the work you probably shouldn't think he's so stupid not to protect it.

Anyhow, ripoffreport works very well to get them to pay up and although it's too late now get scripts like delete-it or similar to rename and embed them into accessible folders on websites you create just for insurance. If all goes well then you can remove them after a few months. If shit hits the fan then you have a bit of insurance.

Best regards

@jodys

Scripts like this are an excellent idea too. Fast and very effective!
Hoping for the best, but being well prepared for the worst! :)
