How to fake the referer?

Ok, so I think I got this right. This code:

Code:
<?php include("filename.php"); ?>
needs to be included in my index page. Now this index page obviously has to be php and not an html doc, right??

Also, so this index page with be the page my AM sees if she checks my traffic source, so I should just make a fake legit looking page on the index page with the previous code included right??

Then to redirect I just use the name of the location of the index page along with ?ref=whatever

I think I've got this down right, I just need to know if this is correct so I can fake my traffic source for obvious reasons.

Yes your index page has to be php. All <?php include("filename.php"); ?> does is calls the other php file with the redirect scripts on it. So make sure you properly upload the 2nd file name it the same as whatever is in <?php include("filename.php"); ?>

Your index page is usually your homepage so whatever html is on it is what will display.

To initiate a redirect you would call it by yoursite.com/?ref=whatever

whatever comes from $merchanturls[whatever]

Test it to see if works.. Just save your original index file in case you have a problem then re-upload it if it does not work.

Good luck

Great, so I just did a test and had it redirect to google. I called the page with mysite.com/?ref=google and it went to google, so I'm assuming the referrer is now faked?

Thanks for the help!

Instead of sending to google send to http://www.svyt.com/referral.php -- This will tell you what the referer is.

Better yet put a link on another site to your page /?ref=whatever then point [whatever] to http://www.svyt.com/referral.php and see what turns up.

Gonna have to give this a whirl. If it works as advertised It might have to be part of most of my sites from now on.

yh, ive been kinda thinking of doing this in wordpress thnx a million seikooc! :)

No you can add as many merchant URL's to the array, for example:

$merchanturls[hit200] = "http://dell.com";

$merchanturls[hit300] = "http://yahoo.com";

$merchanturls[hit400] = "http://bing.com";

$merchanturls[hit500] = "http://google.com";

so now when you advertise yourlink.c0m/?ref=hit300 it will go to yahoo
hit500 will go to google etc....

nice share dude. looking for this quite some time

seikooc rocks :D..i gave him Thanks for every post of his as a praise for his cool share :D

Seikooc , i have a problem..The redirection working even without "/" in "link.com/?ref=whatever" ..in your first post in this thread you said to use " link.com?ref=whatever" here "So in the example above and what is in the code you should be able to redirect to dell by using the following: hxxp://yoursite.com?ref=dell"

So which one should i follow??Also i have not followed what u said here:

"Quick update about the name you use for /?ref= .... When entering in your info for [whatever] so that it looks like /?ref=whatever , you must start this with a letter not a number or symbol... Otherwise it will/may not work properly.

Hope this helps"

Thanks.

Dear Seikocc,

I want to thank you for your excellent posts and help. You are great man. I got to tell you that I am in deep shit with about 6 of my CPA networks. I got banned by 2 cpa networks due to freeken Safaria and Chrome customers showing up to my AM and advertiser. The aforementioned other 6 cpa networks now have me under a freeken daily microscope regarding traffic.

I only had like 1 out of 1,200 leads showing CL as a referer but that is all it takes to get on their shit list and get daily calls from AM.

I implemented your blank referer script successfully as you show at your link below:

http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackhat-seo/black-hat-seo-tools/90996-blank-referer-v2-0-meta-refresh-dmr.html

Now, several of my CPA networks are bitching about all my leads not having any referer. So Ihave to fake the referer in lieu of DMR but I got to be absolutely positive none of the Safaria, Chrome and Opera leads get directed to CPA. So my question is does your fake the referer script (this one) filter out those browsers? I think not. Because, they still show CL e-mail as referer.

Can you make a recommendation? What I do is use 2 domains, 1 BH and the other WH. What I was thinking of doing was using both of your scripts together, the blank the referer and the fake the referer. I thought I could use the BH domain to implement your blank the referer scripts but instead of file xyz.php referring to my affiliate link I forward to the white hat site that has your "fake the referer" script and the page I want AMs to see. I think this will work but I am a little confused about the fake the referer script.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Just to clarify: I can have some leads blank but not all of them. So I thought using both scripts together would save the Safaria, Chrome, Opera and e-mail leads that come in with no referer but insure the Safaria, Chrome and Opera leads that come in with a referer and cannot be DMR get dumped to Google or whatever. .

luck you,i tested one script for faking referrer in the morning and succeeded.

this method require curl module.

The Curl method does not automatically redirect instead it displays a link
that says "The URL has moved here" and the link has to be clicked to go to the offer page.

How is it possible to get automatically redirected?
