How to fake location on Instagram?

High quality proxy will allow your location to be shown where ever the proxy is located. Also yes if you have an eSIM (location turned off on phone) and use mobile proxy.

Few days ago Im facing the same problem then I asked them and the suggested me to change the sim card for solving this problem. So, Its sim card matter.

I am not familiar with the technical issues you faced, but I do know, if you are tunneling anywhere and you are using secure a tunnel and secure software (browser, network applications), as I mentioned earlier, then your subscriber identity module (SIM) will not matter.

*IF* you were having internet issues, as in connectivity troubles, then yes, perhaps your SIM was part of the problem.

*IF* you are not using a secure tunnel and secure software then it is very possible for the applications you are using grab local host information from your mobile device then push that data through the tunnel. In this scenario, your SIM will impact your presented location.

A tunnel (VPN, Proxy, et cetera) will just redirect your session exit/entry point. A tunnel will not, by default, alter the data payload of whatever you transmit through it. If you are familiar with Tor, think of it this way, Tor will attempt to anonymize your location via a series of tunnels, but if you go to Google and log into your personal account then you are leaking your personal information through the tunnel. Now imagine if you are using an Apple device (perhaps one of the worst devices for hiding your location) through Tor, understand that the Apple device collects on it's surrounding environment to help determine where it is and to provide Apple with more data about users and their environments (pulling from the e/SIM is part of this). (Google does this too but it is much easier to stop it on an Android.) If you use your Apple device through Tor, let's say just using Safari or some other app, that application, Safari or whatever, can still collect environmental information and pass it through Tor. Let's replace Tor with whatever VPN/Proxy you choose. The only thing that has changed is now your exit/entry point is different, and you can still leak information. This is why it is important to use only secure tunnels *AND* secure applications. (You may even need to remove/silence/block some applications that run in the background.)

Hiding your location, identity, and spoofing them is no joke. It only takes one single packet to out you. This will require dedication and hard work. One way to think about it is, pretend if your data leaks someone will go to your home and end you and all you hold dear ... this may change your perspective and help you realize the depth of what is required.

Great explanation but I have some doubts.
I come from Europe and I need to target US on Instagram especially with reels.

I have an iPhone and US proxy.
What can you recommend me to use to fake the location?

I'm a US content creator who has been based in Thailand for 5 years. There was a recent Meta update where now my content is mainly being shown within Thailand rather than to my regular North American audience.

How can I spoof my location back to the US?

I have a VPN and have also changed the GPS coordinates in my iPhone as well. However, when I go to make a post click "add location" it still defaults me back to Thailand.

Should I disable location services? Does the SIM card matter? Any other tips?

Thanks.
yes sim card problem you have, you can try usa esim or usa virtual phone number

I am not in a position to conduct proper tests, but some considerations you may try:
Dr Fone's virtual location changer:
https://drfone.wondershare.com/virtual-location-changer.html
NordVPN's unblock Instagram:
https://nordvpn.com/unblock/instagram/
I think Xcode and similar developer suites can spoof locations as well. On this note, have you tried setting up virtual devices? I am highly confident that you can spoof GPS location information in virtual instances of Android, and probably Apple devices. It would be similar to if you were developing a new application and needed to test it in a different geographic area.

Security is a balance between actual security and convenience. You choose if something needs to be convenient or secure. This is true with every instance of security. There is not a direct correlation to inconvenience and security, which is to say just because something is inconvenient does not mean it is secure. The concept is that higher security does have higher inconvenience. Too often people aim for the highest convenience and expect higher security, and the world just does not operate in this manner.

Good luck!

Thanks for the advice.
I try Dr.Phone to spoof location and VPN you recommended.

As for Xcode and setting up virtual devices, it's not something I understand 100% well and I'm starting to get the hang of it.So actually, I don't know how to answer you :)

Be highly detail oriented and it should work well for you.

To everyone saying you *NEED* an eSIM, I asked someone I know who lives in Italy to try a couple different methods, all without using an e/SIM. They connected to a local wifi network using an Apple cellphone without service, then connected to Google search, Instagram and Google Maps with all of these services and every other service they tried thinking they were in the United States.

Also, as I was mentioning earlier, and this is just Google. Just about every other major online service does the same thing, which is collecting data on you from every possible source in order to properly track you and ultimately sell you or sell to you ... https://www.expressvpn.com/blog/how-does-google-know-your-location-when-vpn-on/
