Here is my first thread. After reading many threads for several years, I finally feel confident enough to jump in the marketing with my first website. I also have domain and host servers up and running for that. The niche I'm currently focusing on is blogging about weapon analysis of one specific game, Destiny. I really want to extract data from one of websites with database of weapons stat so I can write an article including the weapon stats from the database and save me a lot of my time. Is there any tool you know out there that can extract the datas from database?

Good on you for starting something!

You might want to check out https://import.io/ I think it has what you need.

These should be enough:

- Mozilla addon as the link says
Code:
https://addons.mozilla.org/es/firefox/addon/scrapbook/

- Pretty powerful tool
Code:
http://www.httrack.com/page/2/

EDIT: Ohh it was about a DB.. I though front-end scraping

your need to learn to scrape a website with a programming language to get specific results from a webpage your need also to learn regex in general.

not easy but also not hard.

aha that's right scraping.. i should have known there is better word for extracting web datas. thanks very much guys!

If you don't want to spend time doing the scraping yourself, just find someone on odesk/elance/fiverr that'll do it for you.

import.io should be able to do the job of frontend scraping perfectly fine since the database from destinydb is "widely open" but the question is... is it a white hat method?
