How to Exit Domaining Safely with 30 names portfolio

Hello,

I was looking through the forum and found some valuable infos about everything related to making money online and other related stuff, but I haven't seen a topic talking about how to exit making money or how to switch to other methods (If Im a good searcher lol).

As I'm a graphic designer I want to focus my whole time on my agency and clients work and need a safe exit with a portfolio of 30 domain names, some are really valuable, others are not, but I don't want to throw them just like that.

So what do you guys suggest, should I let them expire, renew them (which will cost additional fees) or simply sell them all at once with a decent price.

If they are valuable ( it can be very subjective ) submit them on afternic, sedo, and create a landing page for each domain that you are selling

I'm kind of in a similar place.

What I've done is...

Go through your domains and sort them into lists.

Develop
Keep
Sell
Expire

Selling: if you have owned the domains for a few years then each domain owes you a certain amount of money (registration, renewal fees etc)


Work out how much each domain owes you so you know the bare minimum you ideally want back.

Even those on your expire list are worth listing for sale as you might as well get something for them. In fact just last week I sold a .Co.uk domain that was in suspended state. Only got £25 for it but its better than nothing if I let is expire.

Also you say some of your domains are really valuable. Who has concluded this? You? One of the many shitty domain appraisal sites that give unrealistic valuations?

Remember a domain is only worth what someone is willing to pay! If you want to sell have a realistic valuation in mind. Obviously good domains are worth holding out for the right buyer.

You also can't go wrong with ebay. Free to list! Pay a fee when it sells.

Better to try sell them than letting them expire in my opinion. You have nothing to lose.

First think each domain as its own not like I got 30 domains.
Second if no one wants to buy the domain it's worthless no matter what appraisal software tell you.
Third if you can't scale your graphics agency or any online business which involve manual work you are not making internet money.
