How to estimate how many links are enough?

If you check your keywords on Ahrefs they say how many links would take for you to get to first page, but it doesn`t seems to be accurate. For many of my keywords it says 2 or 3 backlinks and I have much more than that.
Checking competitors backlinks are also not useful as many of them should be hiding their PBN links.
So, how to estimate how many links do I need?

Quantity of links doesn't really matter in rankings. For example, you would have a few competitors who doesnt have more backlinks than you but still managed to get higher rankings than your site. Best way would be, keep building links (slow, steady and gradually) for a few weeks. Experiencing it will teach you better than anyone.
 
Yes, I agree with that. Quantity is; not only the matter to increase the rankings. If you build high quality links from well optimized content it would be enough to get rankings. And one more thing is; RD and backlink ratio also must be minimal.

For example:

RD 25 and Back-links 100 are worthier than RD 100 and Back-links 2000. How? The ratio is 1:4 and 1:20 respectively. So the back-links count is not an issue for rankings. Just build high quality links with slow and steady. It will help to rank your keywords for long life :)
 
It depends on your keyword competition because if your competitor have low competition kw they should built low quantity but High quality authority backlinks so they get the results.

So, if you build authority backlinks to your site its good but quantity is not a main thing to get rankings.

Try to get quality links to your site so traffic will increase after that rankings also increases.

Also your Content is very important make your contents more unique and quality.

And On page methods like Title Tag and meta description these two methods are important for getting good traffic.
 
Well, Google has changed its algorithm from Q - > Q (Quantity to Quality) There is no exact count in the number of links. Here quality is more important. Improve your on page score and keeping building quality links, Add fresh contents will lead you to get better serp results.
 
It's difficult to estimate how many links. Do proper On-Page SEO, update your site with unique articles regularly, build quality PBN links, guest posts from high authority sites. Promote your site on social medias like FB, G+ etc.
 
You can focus on a number of quality backlinks rather than the quantity of them. You can potentially rank your site with a few backlinks for low competition keywords. it will help you get few visitors to your site.

Don't go back your competitor quantity links (check Quality links and follow that only) :cool::cool::cool:

it just depends on the quality as in what the quantity will be or the quantity if the quality is lowish
both ways are ways forward
one more risky than the other
 
get 10 blogposts from UR30/DR50+ sites.
that will open your eyes 4 weeks later.
oh.. they might coust you like 2-5k..
 
You have to check your competitors to compare. You need to keep building links even when you are ranking. But avoid building links too fast and get the best quality links. But you should also know that link alone is not the only factor you need to focus when you want to rank.

We can tell by checking competitors backlinks report.
Based upon competitor's number of backlinks and quality of backlinks we need to build.

Did you audit your competitors backlinks and fixed all technical errors on your site?
