How can I enable IMAP in Yahoo mail? And what is it exactly for?

Help is much appreciated.

https://login.yahoo.com/account/security go here and enable it for less secure apps. I think it helps with auto-verify of the emails and so on

If you are using the email with some software / services / bots that needs to login into email and extract some kind of information, Yahoo won't let you do it if you are not enabling less secure apps (IMAP).
