How to effectively promote product without SPAM

I recently promote some affiliate products on social media. What i usually do is posting the product picture with the description of the product & Link. However, my experience is that ppl in the group will say i am spammer. So i really want to know how to promote a product without being labelled as spam?

Don't market your product. Market the problems your product solves. Have a call to action on posts to view a blog or whitepaper, again filled with helpful (not sales oriented) content.

What if the product is a fashionable product which feature the appearance of the product?
