How to edit build.prop in androidx86?

Hello guys, I was wondering if there's a way to edit build.prop file in android x86?
I have an android 9 os and I've also rooted the machine and tried to use apps like root browser, buildprop editor from playstore to edit the buildprop file but it keeps saying fail even after granting root access. I would appreciate any help.

I thought Android is built mostly based on ARM64. Can you share which devices using x86 architecture ?
