Hey can somebody help me edit a pdf files from adobe. I need to edit some of the text on the book and I dont know how. Please if anybody know how to do this can ou give me advice. Is there another program I need to do this with?
You have to re-write it then re-create the PDF file. As far as I know PDF files themselves can't be directly edited. You MIGHT be able to open it in an editable version.
You can use OpenOffice(http://openoffice.org) to write a word file then convert the word file to a pdf file.
Convert the PDF first to .doc file, then you can edit it then save it as PDF again (if you're using MS WORD 2007 or higher). Just search for free PDF to DOC converter, I once used zamzar to convert a .pdf file to .doc file.
I would suggest using Nitro PDF. Not only will you be able to edit PDF documents, but you will also be able to sign and lock documents, among a number of additional features. Search around the forum, you may find it available right here
Nitro PDF was a pos when I used it. You can try to edit the PDF file with Adobe Acrobat Pro. That's what I'm using now. Once in a while I would get a document where I can't edit it. But most of the time, it works beautifully.
Acrobat pro is the best no question. Still won't work with all PDFs (depends how they were made). But works with most. You can edit direct, but you can convert to word.
If the pdf's entirely image then you might have to import into photoshop or illustrator.
