How to Earn Money While There Are Negative Publicities Around?

This is for my client actually. I just would like to know how to earn more money while there are negative publicities around?

a total of 10 sites are blabbing around that they were scammed by my client without even physical or enough proof they are.

Client's business - buy and sell goods

My task is basically to promote the site and bring in more sales. But with all the negative publicities that all ranked up on page 1 when searching for my client's website on google.

I would like to know what to do in order to bring in more sales while these negative publicities are still online.

Hope someone can help me out. He is an honest client of mine and pays well. I don't want that he will closed his business because he will give on this one due to these negative statements on the Internet that don't even prove anything.

When they really cant proof it why not send out cease and desist-letters?

@SebastianJu : We sent out an email to one of the sites however no response was given. Also most of the sites who put negative statements are coming from forums. I am not sure whether to hunt down all these sites and email the administrator for it. But some forums stated they are not liable to their member's opinion.

The sad thing is these forum members became a member this month only and have 1 post its all about my client's website and company.

@ nufaman: yes it's true. why would i invent such thing. this all started with one post and then later on, client received an email that asked him to pay 2 grand in order to shut his mouth off and not have the website he created (which is the same domain name but different ending instead of .com his .co....) when client did not pay it all shoot up to many forum posts talking about client's business, he is a scammer whatsoever...

I tried everything promoting his site through statistic websites, one time using senuke, bookmarking and pinging. Seems nothing still works those forum posts are still on page 1 of google.

When a person goes to google and put in the client's website the forum posts are still on page 1.

make 10 review sites saying how great your client is, and outrank all the negative review sites.

@ tacopalypse: thank you for your suggestion. as of the moment i think i wouldn't want to make 10 review sites for him since he has not paid me for 2 weeks already and now he has the nerve to go on a easter holiday vacation, he posted it on his site. he paid me for the first 2 weeks, guess what it's 1-2 weeks delay every payday but this time it's 2 weeks and now it's going to be 3 weeks next week.

he owes me $800... i really run out of ideas how to deal with this issue... if he does not want me to work he should have said it not like this...

@ nufaman: yea, i'm starting to believe them. but the thing is those people said he is a scam does not even have a proof that goods were not delivered to them since they did not buy at all it's all a bluff.

he does deliver goods but the number 1 issue is late delivery or it takes time to deliver the goods... i don't know maybe it takes time to send me my payment...

i was trying to defend him, use SEO to cover those negative publicity and yet i end up like this... oh well let's if he is gonna pay ... if yes, will proceed with the 10 review sites and boost it all up and oh make him pay me in advance..
