How to Dominate .COM with .IN domain

Hi
One of my client is having web sites & looking for local visitor from India only.
My competitor is having keyword oriented .com domain and I have keyword oriented domain with .in I read some where google prefer local domain for local search
So whats steps I need follow to dominate .com with .in

get backlinks from .in sites
if you can get backlinks from indian edu and gov
plus of course all other forms of backlinks not just .in
that will give you a boost in local searches

Or just 301 redirect to IN from COM. Should work.

One question as you said get back links from .in sites so In such case how it is if I host my 10 keyword oriented domain which are hosted on different c class ip and get back links from these sites

There is no issues about IP's here.
Try to get more and more backlinks from Indian based sites. .in will rank well in India.

Not entirely true, while .in will rank better in India (assuming it still has good onsite and offsite seo), it will rank even better if the IP it is hosted on resolves to India.

While we are talking about small increases in value it's easy value certainly not to be missed

Get backlinks from dominating Indian websites... and that would definitely help. Also submit to all local directories and also list the client's business on Google maps.
