How to do SEO for Yahoo and Bing?

What SEO can i do so my sites to get better indexing and ranking in Yahoo and Bing. I have sites that is ranking well in google but not ranking in yahoo and bing and also not indexing very well. I guess they have a different algorithm than google.

Does anyone have sites that are optimized for Yahoo and Bing and ranking well for them? What strategy have you used? Any advice and help will be greatly appreciated!

I just focus on SEO and improving my rankings on Google. My rankings on Bing and Yahoo are usually higher than Google :S I'm not doing anything special!

OP, have you tried to submit to their webmaster pages?

ha i agree. i'm always checking my rankings for the big 3 SE's and bing/yahoo almost always rank higher when i slave over a hot keyboard trying to please Google!

yahoo and bing are a little different than google

So do some yahoo answers,
Join some yahoo groups and post there
instead of pinging your links
open a new yahoo mail account, enable the show ads
and put all your backlinks in there and send to a gmail
the return to a another yahoo account.

Bing likes larget articles 700 words + and a higher keyword density than google.

If you have a good google ranking already
Doing this will jump you to the top of yahoo and bing pretty fast

Bing loves links inside relevant and good content. Profile links, most spammy blog comments etc are therefore useless. If you want to rank in Bing and Yahoo, your links should be inside relevant articles. The main point here being inside the text. If you get backlinks from comments, but it inside the text and try to make it somewhat relevant, don't just put the backlink in your name or make the comment without any other content than link.

Ranking in Bing is extremely easy if you remember that, and these kind of links have started to rank you extremely well in Google too, so it only makes sense to spend your time on more quality backlinks.

I've found the opposite. Bing (and Yahoo - uses Bing engine now) is stupid. It only cares about link volume. I can peg sites at #1 in Bing/Yahoo by just pushing a ton of spammy anchored links at it. Of course, this is the anti-christ to Google, but it works for Bing. And depending on what you are monetizing, sometimes Yahoo/Bing traffic is better, at least I've found, for certain things Bing/Yahoo users tend to be dumber and easier to convert.

I have to agree with Darkmonk, that link quantity is normally more important than link quality.

Exact match domains seem to work well with Bing.

Yahoo seems to dislike my adsense sites. Remove the adsense and a few months later get a decent Yahoo ranking. Put the ads back on and boom back ten more pages.
