Hello everyone.
Before I start, this is my personal view. You may agree or disagree, but this is my experience. What I write might please you, or it might annoy you, and some people will not like what I’m about to say.
So how do you actually practice SEO in 2025?
I’ve been doing SEO for more than ten years. The best days were when I could buy or trade any link and get thousands of visitors within days. Those days are gone. Everything is much harder now.
I learned a lot from people’s experiences, from a few exceptional guides, from random courses that suddenly went viral. Some of them worked. Some were nonsense.
But now, what’s happening? In short, the situation is unbearable. If you don’t understand what’s going on around you, you won’t succeed no matter what you do. The sad part is that we still repeat the same advice everywhere: focus on high-quality content, make it the best ever, build backlinks. This is completely wrong. Why? You’ve probably seen many low-quality sites with 300–400 words ranking on the first page, and the shocking part is that they have zero backlinks. So how are they ranking?
Another example: a site launches, and within a few months it suddenly reaches 100K visitors. You post it in the forum and say, “Look at this, how did they do it?” And you’ll always see the same answer: “They’re using Black Hat SEO.” The funny thing is that 99% of the people here have no idea what that site is actually doing, yet everyone wants to copy it. Nobody gives an answer, because whoever knows won’t share it.
What annoys me in these forums is the sellers. Go ask any seller who charges ridiculous prices for guest posts. Ask for their list. Then go to another seller, and another, until you have five lists. You’ll notice they’re almost identical. What’s funnier is that many of these “strong websites” are using Black Hat SEO. Think about that.
Haven’t you ever wondered why 90% of these “strong” sites suddenly explode with traffic? They didn’t buy high-quality links, and they didn’t follow any of the loud, shiny SEO rules everyone keeps repeating.
What’s even more ridiculous is that if you visit these same sites and ask for a direct guest post price, it’s ten dollars. Yet here, it’s sold for absurd prices. Not everyone, but ninety percent.
Google is a joke.
Every year Google announces a new algorithm to “reward high-quality content”. Yet you work hard, follow the best practices, and your site gets pushed to the end of the results. Meanwhile, weak sites rank above you. Google calls it Penguin, Panda, Hummingbird, Salmon—whatever. Yes, Google has algorithms, but they run on factors neither you nor I truly understand. We only guess.
What I’ve actually seen working boils down to two things.
First: 99% of the sites I saw ranking were using real Black Hat SEO. And yes, 95% of them are still working fine for years. Don’t say “give them a few months”.
Second: PBNs. But not the garbage ones. These PBNs had at most 30 sites. All DA 70+. And the funny part is they were easy to find if you looked. Not like what’s sold in forums, where sellers refuse to show a sample because they claim it will “hurt their network”, only for you to discover it’s a dump full of thousands of sites. The PBNs I tracked had only three or four articles hosting all the outbound links. I spent years trying to trace the owners. I’m convinced they were from places like Thailand, the Philippines, or Vietnam.
The other thing I saw working is publishing a lot of articles. It may sound silly, but it works. Try it for a month: choose a topic, write one long 2000-word article, then branch out from it. Or write whatever you want, then branch out. Make every article structured as question-and-answer because of AI.
In the end, this is my opinion. You may agree or disagree. Don’t tell me I haven’t tried things—I’ve tested everything you want to tell me. Don’t come at me from that direction.
