Hello Guys, I have My Own Website. I need to List My Website on Directory DMOZ Listing... How to Do list a Website on DMOZ.

There have been certain people claiming that they can help you in getting a link quickly at DMOZ but no one has seen such success yet.
Also, the demand for such links have been decreased as they have lost their value as well.

And the irony about it is that the article was posted in 2006.
 
Dmoz is shitty... They don't approve websites anymore and a link from there is not as valuable as a penny back in the year 1512. I have seen top sites, i mean sites ranking No 1 in searches with 1 + million searches and they don't have a single dmoz link.. SO cut the crap and do sometime better with your time.
 
DMOZ is history. As wisdomkid said, It's not effective on these days. Work on improving the authority of your site by adding more valuable content and building backlinks on sites that are in your niche.
 
Yeah another vote for it not really being that applicable these days for ranking.

However some still value the link when buying sites so if it is for improving sale value you have 2 options:
1) submit and wait possibly an unlimited amount of time
2) pay a moderator off (you would have to find the moderator for your area of DMOZ)
 
I don't get people's fascination with DMOZ.

But like other said just submit your website and forget about it.
 
no one can say it's not affecting ranking since no one can properly test it. anyway the only use I can think of is for flipping websites, other than that you can get much more powerful links for a lot less hustle.
 
What i personally do is buy a dmoz listed domain for 10 bucks, fill it with articles, backlink it and then 301 it to my money site. Costs nothing and never hurts.

Find someone who can do it for you for a fees. In my opinion getting it listed in DMOZ is not worth it anymore.

Wow DMOZ... Been at least 2-3 years since I last even heard anyone talk about it.
 
Don't bother about them unless you are real business or organization. You can submit through their site by going to he relevant category.
 
DMOZ is not recommendable in these days and getting links from it is very difficult.
 
I can't believe you people.

DMOZ is a PR 7, hand approved directory. The idea that it is not worth getting into is absurd.
 
DMOZ is am important link however because it takes too much time for your submission to be accepted, I suggest that you submit it since its free then move on to more important stuff like Social Media and posting quality content.
