How to diversify product collection page anchor texts?

As an example let's say your collection page is selling casino slot machines or bike locks, how would you diversify the anchor text to those pages?

Also is it normal for a collection page to get over 10 links. I.E. is it a better idea to link to blog posts on your site linking to the collections or more linking straight to the collection page?

A link straight to collection is more effective in passing link juice.

To diversify I would suggest niche specific manual blog comments with low outbound links.
