Hello guys,
How to stop automatic updates on Windows 10???!!:weep::weep:

Why would you do that (unless you are using pirated windows 10, which isn't allowed here afaik)? The updates help to keep your pc safe.

Because you might want control over updates.

I run Windows 10 on a virtual machine. When I travel I use mobile Internet hotspotting. I don't want Windows downloading a new update (such as the recent predominantly useless Spring 2019 one) while I'm on a metered 3G connection. It means my Internet speed is completely screwed and that I have to wait for Windows to update before I can switch off my laptop.

I'm perfectly capable of keeping my PC safe at a time that's convenient to me.

Well, I do use unlimited data pack so never have to worry about "metered connection" tbh. Yepp that could be an issue. Still, I am sure the updates can be scheduled (i have it always on because bandwidth isn't a problem).

As for having to wait before switching the laptop off, it takes a few extra seconds for me. I guess that problem of yours has to do with not using a ssd.

Most of the updates will fix the bugs.. But if you want, just follow instructions on google search.

Theres an app made for fully disabling it, its useful also for disabling other shit like tracking, indexing etc
Just do a google search

services.msc is the answer, however as far as I know it gets reactivated after a while.

Lol if we were talking about anyone but MS I would believe you. When you have to install a patch that patches a patch you lose faith.

Lol okay. Why do you guys hate Bill Gates so much by the way? :P

You cant, My friend tried everything and he cant. What's wrong with Win 7? Nobody wants that Win10 shit. The day Win 7 stop working, I am going for some other OS but not MS shit.

Mark your internet connection as metered and windows will not download any updates.

Click Start > Type Windows Update Settings > Advacned option > Disable automatic update.
