How to detect a proxy user?

i'm running a legit business and will start incentive site GPT site etc... I know how ppl cheat, they fake IP , use fake info, create multi accounts to complete offer, VCC/. This may lead to being banned from CJ.com. They may ask " wtf why this publisher has so many trial signups, most dont stay etc..." Buying traffic doesn't cover those suspicious factors.

So is there a good way to know the real IP of customer, and use it to auto-shutdown their cheat accounts? Please advice. thanks

Why would we tell you? for all we know you probably work with an ad network or company trying to stop everyone here from making money?

A good way to know the real ip of your customer is to ask them, "Hey you what is your real IP" I cant see why they wont tell you :p Me i cant tell you my real ip because it changes every minute, but not for ppc it is because the country i am in block allot of good porn sites, so i need to hide the real ip........ blah blah blah blah

Its a secret $_SERVER command:

$_SERVER['YesThisIsAProxy']

If the user is popping off a proxy, that variable will be present :D
 
I know, here's the answer for you!

Maybe you could ask them for their phone number thengive them a call and ask them......
 
A good proxy or "fake ip" will be absent of the Via Forwarded, X-Forwarded-For or Client-ip in the header.

A good (true anonymous) proxy will handle a request without announcing itself as such.

You guys should stop being dickheads. The only reason to be afraid affiliate managers will figure out how to detect proxies is if you're filling out your own offers. If you are, you're a chump.

It's complicated, but then again it's not. You can just scrape major proxy sites and throw away any signups you find with matching IPs (especially Tor). Beyond that you can run a proxy detection script (google up azen1.04 to get yourself started), or look for something similar to what www.ip.cc uses.

Really though, as long as your cpa company doesn't complain, what do you care? Just monitor who's responsible for what signups and if they screw up insta-ban them. The managers should be fine with you running a GPT site as long as you don't use non-incent offers or anything.

If that was as easy as abc, Proxy sites wouldnt exsist, Because everybody would just know how to see the real ip behind the proxy

Ye I'll not help on this matter either, you might use the information to "catch" people from bhw ..
 
i think i found a solution. maxmind.com say they can tell if someone is using proxy or not, they just cant tell the real ip. i think it's enough for my business.

Thanks for any info. I am taking some steps to join blackhay aff, and just dont want to be cheated by blackhat workers too >.< It's gonna be a lot of work. BH doesn't mean easy. But it's interesting now. later
