How to defend against wrong copyright claims?

Hi,

just got the copyright claim and the strike on one of my videos, that is a complete nonsense.

It's Wikipedia article text + animation, nothing copyrighted and especially not by GSN - The Network for Games. It says the copyrighted content has been found manually which makes it even more WTF.

What to do in situations like this? I've sent response to them as Youtube doesn't give me an option to contact Youtube themselves but what if those guys just doesn't give a shit?

As long as you filed the counterclaim through YouTube directly, you should be fine. The original claimant will have to submit proof of a court filing within ten days, or the DMCA will be dismissed and your video restored.

Just send a counterclaim dude and they have to prove themselves nothing will happen then

After you file a counterclaim, Its on the guys who filed the copyright if they think you are right or wrong and not youtube.
But since in most cases they usually file a fake copyright they will back out since they know it can backfire if they cant provide proofs.

So making a counter claim is a good option if you think you have the rights to use the content or anything.
