How to deal with shoutout requests?

So I've got a 5k follower gym niche account and I notice I get a lot of DM shoutout requests already from people eager to show off.

Surely there's got to be a way to monetise this? What would be the best way? do I flat out mention the cost in a reply? If so, how much does a 5k shoutout go for? Is it $1 per 1,000 followers?

Just play stupid and let them offer you, sometimes they will offer a lot

I agree, and then you can always negotiate setting the price a bit higher of what they say..after a while you'll get to know the market!

It's worth asking shoutout for shoutout if they are also a money making page to grow yourself

What do you guys set on your bio to get people to pay? I just put down "DM for Shoutout enquiries" and then a blurb about the pages

Shoutout for shoutout if they have a similar following as you, but if you'll post them and they don't have a lot of followers, you should check out www.plughype.com - good place to sell your shoutouts

I have about 5k followers. The profiles on plughype are all way bigger than that. Is there even a market for shoutouts on 5k accounts? People are asking, but I don't think people are willing to pay for this type of reach just yet?

You gotta make sure that its really a money shoutout and not a free shoutout/feature. People request to be featured all the time through DM, that doesnt mean they're tryna paid for a shoutout. Im not sure if you clarified that but you should regards.

Definitely don't undersell yourself or offer something for free.

Ask for their budget and then you can over time get a good idea.

No, it's not like 1$ for 1k followers. It all depends on the activity etc.
Saw some accounts having 2m followers, with only 1800 likes average.. lmao

Let them offfer you, and if not. just charge like 50-10 bucks.

Best way to do it is for them to give you content to post a great content and ask them to edit for you and also ask them after to shoutout back to your page as well.
