I have some kindle ebooks on amazon.com.

One has been doing well, but I've suddenly got some negative feedback, possibly by people hired by my competitors. Is there any white hat way to deal with this?

I think only way is to push down the bad reviews with more good. You should pay positive reviews. Amazon don't remove reviews...

How can I do this?
You can search for providers on fiverr on BHW marketplace.

Now the problem is that they need to have the product before reviewing it... you'll have to give them money so they can pay for the product and then review it...

The other way would be to use residential IP like Luminati and hire a VA for posting review or you can do on your own if it is not in bulk.

Just post fb ads giving free coupon for your book. Ask them for review via manychat. This way not only u have genuine buyers, and also you will have lookalike audience data for future promotion of your existing books or future launching books

If it's only a small amount then of negative reviews try getting your friends and family to purchase and leave detailed positive reviews.

LOL, that could work too. Thanks!

If you have solid proof you can report it to Amazon support center, and they will remove it. If not, I suggest you to reply to that comment like you have improved or solved that problem. It will have some positive effect.

Thanks. For ebooks and books, I don't think you can respond to reviews.

Learn from politicians like DT, peoples' memory is short. If you're hit with negative reviews create more positive to overpower the negatives. Who the heck remembers that famous 'grab her by the pu^%$'. No one! That's the power of framing. Just be careful how you go about that.

There's a way you can use that negative review to get more sales. Are you able to screenshot the negative review to post here?

I know one thing. They take fake reviews very seriously. There was this thing where a over a thousand fiverr sellers were sued for selling fake reviews. So im guessing you should contact amazon if you can find evidence of fake reviews.

Before buying fake reviews, report them. Because once you start the cycle with fake reviews, if Amazon sees it, they will remove not only the bad ones, but the fake good ones too.

You can message those customers to ask what was the problem? If they don't reply then they must be hired ones by your competitors.
You can pitch your case to amazon as told earlier by @Yack
Then hire reviewers with high review rank and get positives and place few negatives on competitors.Yes this is black hat and a never ending run.
