How to deal with much bigger competitors

I am in a specific gaming niche, but dont have enough visitors. There are some big authority sites which I cannot compete with in terms of fresh new articles every day, various competitions they have like free steam keys etc.

(personally when I look for information I often prefer bigger sites with reputation, so I assume lots of people do the same)

How can I get more visitors ? Thanks

have you tried Youtube marketing? You can't compete with the big sites at Google, but at YT you might have a chance, plus it brings really good traffic for that niche

As usual, it depends. There are some niches where there's nothing you can do(like opening a grocery next to a Walmart). In others, you may specialize and find a place where the big guys can't compete with you....

Yes, I agree with innozemec. YouTube marketing is an excellent IM strategy.

Long tail keywords?

I'll pile on. Post Youtube videos on a related topic. For example a game review. It could even be a simple scrolling powerpoint video.

Or go for something more unique but relevant to your niche. Find people to interview and post that up. Chances are the major game developers are going to ignore your requests. But if you get clever and find small time game devs to interview, you can help them spread the word which they'll do for you. Win-win.
