How to De-index an old website ?

de-indexed old website? why would you do that anyway? well you can delete your site on your cpanel.

lock it out of the server (or delete it) and than deindex it through gwt or just wait for it to deindex naturally

First deleted site from cPanel, then waited few days and then checked with Copyscape to see if I can find my old text somewhere, and then re-added the text with few spins.

I do this when I need to deindex:

Will this method work with a free site someone is using? like personalwebsite.freesiteprovider.com I'm going to switch to a paid site once I get a domain+hosting bought anonymously and don't want traffic to keep going to the old site.

Look up how to edit your robots.txt to the best of your ability then delete the website completely from your web host and change the name servers.

Even without the website offline, I've found it takes a few weeks to have pages deindex. I've had a site with ~1600 pages indexed that I deleted them all on Feb 25th, and now 2 weeks later I'm down to ~90 pages indexed.

IF you dont have one, create a file called "Robots.txt" in your root directory. In it, add:

User-agent: *
Disallow: /

Good luck - it takes a while as what others have said, what you need to do is completely make your site inaccessible and request a de index from Google's pages.

Delete the content on first page and block Google crawling other urls. This way you cna have your content on other site.

In the mean time Google will deindex all the old content

A few months on, that is.
