How to cut video and insert an image into it?

I need to cut video to half lenght and insert some text on black background, image I guess. So how to do it? Any software suggestions?

Windows movie is by far the easiest way. Or you can make that black bg and text image on MS Paint, and then download "Video cutter joiner" free and do it via that.

Use windows movie maker, you probably have one already installed on your computer. A simple google search would've solved your problems.

But Windows movie maker doesn't allow to overlay an image over the video..

And how to create image with text link inside it or clickable image and when inserted to video, text link or image is clickable? I have done search but there are only "how to do it for youtube videos".

Like a lot of people say camtasia studio is good but it's not free. You can go pirate it or you can achieve the same thing just as easy with Windows Movie Maker. If you're using mac I think there's iStudio.

You must have to use the Video Editor that has good reviews and has good ranking.
Sony Vegas is one of them. Another option is Camstudio for editing videos easily and effectively.

If desiring to edit / adjust bulk videos aim at obtaining Video Charge studio.

This suite processes images as well, but can render thousands of visuals overnight using the wizard. That should get you going so more scaling can be done.

Adobe Premiere Pro - take a 30-day free trial and you will get the result you need..

feel free to let me know if you get stuck... I might be able to help you out if this is a one-time thing .. I do video editing quite a lot.
