It’s simple I have been using WeChat for over 10 years. You just need to register with your phone number. Of course the verification is very strict and you might be required to have an old account that is more than six months old to invite you.

Are you using an Indian or Chinese sim and where did you get it from?
The waiting time is 6 months which is a bit long. Is there any way to speed up the process, my friend?

The only way I got mine working was asking a Chinese friend to scan my QR for verification
