It's said that facebook is the best marketing medium available now n people go all gaga about it....can someone please explain to me how to promote a movie website using facebook?please leave out the conventional methods...anyone willing to help me would sure be helped in return...

you need to have a marketing assets in facebook which is
-you need to build/buy a big fanpage
-build/buy many accounts with a lot of friends
-buy fanpage/account status updates
-buy friend messaging or wall post
-etc..........
so you need to read many threads here and any questions i'm at your help

My first impression was the site looks professional and clean, with an attractive look and feel. It is easy to read and understand. Joining the site was easy and painless--they do offer 2 upgrade options but they are not required to gain the benefits.

how do u make many friends?are u using facebook pro ? i have a movie website and we are using cpa ads....i have also made a facebook fan page in hope of increasing the traffic of my website...now i understand that when a person visits my site and likes the fan page the traffic would increase from his friends knowing about it...if i use facebook for content unlocking how can i also use cpa ads along with it for content unlocking?will both the things get mixed up?or will have to do coding for both to be done together?

You will need lots of friends, an eye-catching picture, a profile page with links to all your social network profiles and most importantly make good use of notes and events to gain exposure.

The first thing to do is to create a fanpage. Then, create an ad with Facebook Ads and link it to your fan page. After you get like 500 fans, you can post your website link and you will see not much but good traffic 
PS: 500 is just an example, of course you can do more if you can spend more ^^
