Microsoft Movie Maker, Apple iMovie, Avid FreeDV can make video for free, but i do not know whether the effect is good, you can try

but you need good understanding of the software. If you put some time to learn it, it well worth it.

For recording most anything else - Camtasia (Paid)
For producing/editing - Adobe Premiere (Paid)

I used video maker FX for making videos. It is good for review. In this software it has few pre integrated video animation. SO that you can make video without getting much experience on it.

Well there are only 2 best options for you: Windows Movie Maker and Camtasia as ppl already said. Try both and choose what you like

animoto, wideo.co, powtoon, sparkol all these are great tools for explainer videos but they are paid. free version will put some watermark on your videos...

You can use windows movie maker. Still I'm making sex dolls videos and uploading them in YouTube. I like it fir it's easy functionality. I also added few melodious music with the images. Overall it's looking so good. Within two days I got 19000 views. So I think windows movie maker will be better for you because it's totally free and easy.
