How to create PDF backlinks?

Hi, I'm looking to diversify my backlink profile even more but not sure how to go about creating these types of links.

Do I need to create new content then put the backlink in the document or am I able to use articles I have on my site and then place the backlink on the authors name?

Also I'm not 100% sure if the backlink needs to be in the actual document or in the description of the pdf sharing site.

P.S I've already googled it but didn't find much.

You are best off using SEO tools to post and create them. Take a look in the marketplace and find the tools that support PDF creation.

Download as .pdf.

With mine I made sure I had the link on the page I wanted, went over to "print friendly", converted url to pdf and uploaded it to 2-3 off sharing websites.

Does the output contain direct link or a redirect when done through google drive?
