How to create good website structure with main keyword? EMD - Categories - Articles

Im building a website and have already 6 categories and 6 articles. Im going to have maybe 8 categories and lots of articles. Problem is that main keyword doesnt have synonyms. Therefore my main keyword appears in the website's name and in all of the categories. Often it can be also found in the articles titles.

Is this too much of main keyword spamming? Should i change the categories so that "best x's" and "fun x's" would be "best" and "fun"?

If it doesn't have synonyms, use related keywords. Placing the same keyword all over your site will only lead to a panda or over-optimisation penalty in the future.

Do you mean that if my site is "party ideas" and categories are "childrens parties" and "christmas parties", i should change the categories to "childrens celebrations" and "christmas balls".

I feel like a smart alec writing this, but i just cant see any other good way out from this other than to eliminate the "party" word all together from the category names and just go with "childrens" and "christmas". I wanted the categories be such that they themselves have lot of monthly searches but if i change them there will be none.

I have a similar situation. My main page was 8 or 9%, I lowered it to around 3% and added some backlinks.
Watching it dance right now, was #7 in g yesterday today it's on page 2. Gonna give it a week or two before I mess with it.

I would not eliminate "party" or it's synonyms, Christmas is to general. Synonyms: SOIREE , get-together, celebration, event

I advice you to have separate target keywords for each category to drive more traffic.

It just feels retarded to add so many different synonyms when the main keyword is clearly the best. But i guess thats how it is.

When i add a category in wordpress, i put the keyword in the meta or slug section right? So i could do a category with title: "christmas" and meta title or slug as "christmas celebrations"?

They are separate but the problem is that with using related keywords the categories lose their search appeal.

Btw, its funny how google doesn't now appreciate the keyword being in articles h1, but appreciates it being in h2. Do you guys then put H1 as related keyword and H2 as main keyword. Or h1 just any attractive phrase to get clicks?

You can make an H2 look like an H1 to a human via your css. I've never done it, so I'm not sure if it will get you a slap or not.
