It has been a while since I noticed that some major coupon sites link to my competitors. After doing some research here is the secret sauce:
1- You make a coupon offer on your website.
2- You write up an email template saying that you have a store and you would like to creat a store page on their coupon website.
It must include:
*Your site URL
*Your site's description
*Coupon code
*Expiration date of the coupon
*Bonus: Your store's logo!
3- You search the good coupon sites that you want backlinks from, you head to "Contact Us" Section and you will find their email for "merchant partnerships".
4- You send out emails to all the coupon sites that suits you!
Acra Cadabra, in couple days you'll get your store's page ready and running!
The Problem of the method ( OPs please suggest sulotions) :
1-Most of these coupon sites will give only No-Follow link. Those who give Do-follow link will ask for a one time payment for the creation of the store's page!!. (You need to think: are these nofollow links worth the time that you will invest to get them?)
So OPs, What price should be paid for those backlinks? 50 bucks? Less? More?
2- Most people say that those coupon sites backlinks are spammy, can you please explain how come they are spammy if the site has 2% spam rate and 60DA? ( Few coupon sites but yes they exist).
