How to create and maintain a blog network?

Have been reading updates again about Buildmyrank network being de-indexed by Google and it got me thinking.
How should we create an maintain blog network for our own sites.

I have a network of 60 blogs around my main websites. All of them are on the same server but each have their own IP address. I just do a little link building (social bookmarking, directories, interlinking) Most of my blogs are over 4 years old. Most have a pr of 1 & 2. A few have 3 & 4. Most are keyword domain. Lets say keyword-place.com, keywordplace.co.uk and I just use .co.uk and .coms. I update the network daily with at least 10 articles.

Can anyone give some tips how to avoid Google noticing the blog network. Am sure a lot of people here would want to know about this.

1. Spread them around to different servers. Highprsociety got hit because their domains are in ONE server.

2. Stop putting in articles which contain outbound links. Post articles which have no links at all.

3. (OPTIONAL) Raise article content quality. Don't put too much scraped/obviously spun content.

4. (OPTIONAL) Change the themes of the sites. Don't make them look like each other.
 
Will it still matter even if I have unique Ip Address per blog? Damn. Will have to think about this.

How often would you suggest I put links in my articles?

And yea. All my articles are unique and copyscape passed.

I dissagre with 2 and 3, my competitors blog network got deindexed and they had Unique, Informative, Original Content , lots of images and youtube videos, Mixed content, some content had backlinks and some content absolutely no backlinks .They even had blogroll to random authority sites. But there were still deindexed! But they made the mistake of SEO hosting...

I assume that a lot of hosting accounts, would be the solution. I have a really small blog network (just 10 high pr blogs) in different hosting companies, i'm not so carefull with content as my competitors were but my network is still alive

Blog networks looks like danger business for owner and for the customer.

Sure they can pass manual check for 3 but as you said, they were taken down by SEO hosting. There are many factors to consider and you can easily reverse the situation. The situation could be that you have chosen a good SEO host but you failed when Google checked your site manually since you didn't care about quality at all and simply OBL'd your way to the deindex zone.

As I said, different factors to consider and not all PBNs were taken down due to one factor alone.

Damn.. So I do need to move my sites to different hosts.

Are there any other things to avoid.
What about interlinking the blogs? Is that advisable? And if yes, whats the best way to do it..

Don't interlink them. As much as possible, never ever risk anything.
 
Having all the sites on one account is the biggest mistake one can make. They were using seohosting.com. When I thought about starting a network, it was the first choice that came to my mind as well, hence I didn't use it.

Can you guys suggest me some nice server to host my site.
 
Use different shared hosting. It doesn't cost much. You can find really cheap ones at webhostingworld. Some go for $50 per year!
 
You can never be too sure with share accounts because you are sharing it with others (which might mean you are sharing with other people who have PBNs). Because of this, learn to spread the domains around different accounts.
 
if you are a newbie in creating or running a blog, first try google blog, try spending some time on it and then move to some proper site

You don't have to do shit - what you have isn't a "blog network," these are your own sites and unless you interlink them, you have nothing to worry about and even if you do, you still have nothing to worry about. I have hundreds of sites (HUNDREDS) on the same host, same IP and haven't seen a slight shift in SE traffic or Google penalty.

Google is not after your "network" and don't ever waste your money on separate IPs, e tc. Yes, if your site grows, then move it on a separate, unique IP, until then save your money and cram as many sites as you can on your host. I went down the same route a few years ago with sites on six hosts, which was bloody pain to maintain and absolutely pointless.

Geeez, the SEO "experts" on this board....
