I want to creat an online store where I can sell digital goods like gift cards, games etc

As you can see @Valar Instagramis is using custom Domain and uses the API to integrate with his side of the services.

You could easily rattle something like this for free up with Wordpress and woocommerce.

if you are new to web - start with wordpress + woocommerce

+ yesterday Facebook announced that both Facebook and Instagram are rolling out Shop features and among 1st official partners are woocommerce as well.

1st page can be customised as you wish - and you will be able to find lots of affordable offers to help you out if such a need appears (not the case with cms like magento, prestashop, opencart or many others).

But why bother with two(WP + Woo) when I can simply use one.

Remember all I need is an online store where I can sell digital goods such as gift cards.

Wordpress is the CMS (Content management system) and Woocomerce is the ecommerce plugin for WP making it easier to accept payments, create stores, etc.

They go hand in hand.
