It totally depends upon which niche is your Subreddit about, different subreddits require different kind of posts. Like if your sub is informational kind of sub then you have to publish the informational posts that the readers in your subs find interesting and they also give their views on it by commenting on the post (for this kind of posts you can find the trending posts or news in your niche and publish them on your subreddit). And if your subreddit is related to discussion then you can publish the post where you can get the plenty of discussion (for this you have to publish many posts because it is may be possible that all the posts gets a lot of engagement)

A post gets active when people feel they need to reply, not just read and scroll. I usually frame it around a real problem, add specific details , then ask something like what would you do in this case? so it invites experience. The more concrete and slightly controversial it is, the more discussion it triggers

I usually post something useful or ask a simple question people can answer. Keep it relevant to the subreddit and reply to comments quickly. The more you engage early, the more active the post becomes.

Post about a clear topic people care about, ask a simple question, and write a short title that makes people curious. Also reply to comments quickly so the post stays active.

maybe u can try this way (i'm doing this way). Post 1 quality thread every single day with strong titles (questions or “Discussion” work best), reply to every comment within the first 2 hours, pin a detailed welcome post + rules from day 1 and stay in one tight niche and never skip a day for at least 30 days. Although it's simple, it's so useful
