How to create a salespage for software?

Hi what template or theme would you recommend for internet marketing software launches?

Most product pages are just a very long page with a lot of images. Use a photo editing software to make your product look "cool", but honestly, don't overdo it. I've seen product launches with way too many graphics and colors and it just gets chaotic. Oh and try to keep it shorter than others. Some have hundreds of images and it takes too long to read. Keep it nice and short.

Just take a look around and you'll see what I'm talking about. You can even look at the marketplace selling threads here. A lot of people model product releases on websites by creating fancy graphics and cool designs to promote their product.

I say just use a blank template with maybe a border on the inside, a header, and a lot of page space! Just because the template isn't "cool" doesn't mean you can't make it cool!

The most crucial thing for you is to not distract the potential buyer with any other "call to action" things than buying the software.

That means, do not link to other pages, or even to FAQ page, or do not ask him to enter his email or whatever, becasue once you do so he will do that and NOT buy your product.

I totally agree with darkrache. Most sales pages contains many images and videos, which makes them difficult to open, almost all of them make a one page sales page. But they are very very long and difficult to read. Make short and simple version, with a good attracting headline, put a video and some simple proofs (Testimonials) that with your software people can make money.
