Sorry for the noob question.
I want to copy all the contents from some wordpress blogs to mine,I mean all the posts, thats all. I will set up my own theme and my own plugins for now.Is there any way I can copy contents tfrom one blog to mine automatically?
Is WP robot supposed to do this?
Also some of the blogs have rss feeds enabled. Is there any way for me to use that to bring the content over?

If you fill your blog with duplicate content, it will not rank on Google, which source of traffic will you plan to use?

wordpress autoblog plugin
wordpress autopost plugin
wordpress rss to post plugin

Do a search with the above terms and you should find all the information you need.

No point to copy/paste the exact content since google doesn't like duplicate content. If you want to use those articles just to rank you could prob spin the articles and then post them to your blog.
There are few WP plugins that can Copy content from WP blogs or you could create your own crawler in phpquery.

I have heard about something called "Sharpleech" .Not sure it works for wordress or not. It works for forums like PHPBB, Vbulletin etc.

I'd recommend avoiding doing this unless you're planning on spinning the content with a spinner like WordAi

Thanks everyone for the replies.
I am not too worried about duplicate content part. Have been doing this for over a decade so I know what the ground reality is. I am new to WP but not to net.
I have seen thousands of blogs mushroom in past 2/3 years, all with dupe content yet capturing a slice of traffic.
I will check out wordpress autoblog plugin for sure. If anyone knows of any other plugin/script etc to copy blog posts please let me know
thanks

Yes. WP enables you to do that. But Google will not rank you if you copy all the content from another site like WP.

If other blog is your's import the xml from tools in wp-admin , if not just use a plugin "wp-o-matic"

aside from WordPress plugins, I wonder if you could use something like IFTTT for this?

Export WP posts in the Tools section, then import them into a new blog :)

I don't know why you would want to do that. Try adding value rather than copying it.

Hope the OP found his/her answer, albeit 3 months late.

(sorry for the bump :( )

Bro I think I need your help

A bit sorry to bump this old thread but since this is the exact issue I am facing... better not start a new thread maybe...

I am doing some test myself, say now I want to copy all articles from any other site (not necessarily have be a wordpress site though), for example, site A got 1,000 articles, and now I want to duplicate all these 1,000 articles to my wordpress site, you know manually copy&paste would kill me, as I think there must be some automatic way to do this.

I searched WProbot, automatic etc plugins and seems they are not what I want (maybe i am wrong, already PMed authors too and waiting for the response)

So in short, I want to quickly clone all articles from a targeted site to my wordpress site like OP asked, and lets say I can get all URLs list from these target sites (from sitemap, apparently), do you know any methods or plugin can do this? I know this involved parse URL or whatever, I googled some hours but with no luck...

I know a software named HTTrack, seems it is not my case.

I know wordpress got a function named XML import/export, can I import other website's .XML sitemap to mine?! (forgive my stupid, I think I am wrong, but no idea where lol, it still doesn't solve the HTML parse .... no idea)

Do you know if the site you want to copy is a WordPress site or HTML or is using another CMS?
You should be able to use a scraper and auto poster.
https://www.google.com/search?q=wordpress+scraper
Try these:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-scraper/
http://www.wpscraper.com/
https://codecanyon.net/item/scrapes-web-scraper-plugin-for-wordpress/18918857
I haven't tried them so it isn't a recommendation. Let me know how you get on and if they work well and successfully scrape and post.
