Sorry if this is the wrong place for this.

I?ve got a client that hired a web designer to build his site, the site has about 500 pages of content and the design guy will not give him ftp access to the site.

He wants to move the site and be done with the design guy.

However, with no ftp access it makes it really hard to coy 500 pages of content and the design.

Are there any tools out there that will allow me to download the site without having access to the server?

Thanks in advance for the help

is it static pages? a ecommerce site? a little more info would be helpful

download "website ripper copier" for windows
"bluecrab" for mac and copy the site off.

Get the scrapbook addon for firexfox. It's really good.

Sounds like he's trying to ripoff his web designer to me ..... :wt:

Check the contract (there was one right) the client 'should' be the owner of the source code.

If so put the squeeze on him = ISP, etc = sue him = intimidate, etc .....

If no contract = SOL .....
