How to confuse google?

hey man,
thanks for this discussion. of all the people that replied, only your answer was a scientific discussion. everybody else either completely missed the point (talking about browser fingerprinting when this has zero to do with browser fingerprinting) or made fun of me. is location tracking exclusively software based? meaning, if a laptop doesn't have os, google cannot know where it is?
For more accurate data, yes, it is software based which is bundled up with your windows OS

However, there are other ways to track you still, which is through cookies, browsers fingerprinting, IP address, or Wi-Fi router’s MAC address etc. But these are all more approx location data, then zoned in excatly where you are at.

Actually, continue on this topic, which can be somewhat related.
I read this article today and it seems super interesting to me considering this did lead to the arrest of an alleged criminal.

FBI Was Able to Obtain an Tor User's IP Address

That's interesting considering there lots of different ways this could potentially have happened whether it was an exploit, bug, or some new tool/technology/technique developed by the FBI.
Or seemly, they are making it bigger than it really is, and the alleged criminal leaked himself.

What are your thoughts on this @Gogol

Not exactly sure how they did it, but I guess they (as in FBI) controlled both the entry and the exit node of the tor circuit that this monster used? That is the biggest vulnerability in tor network as far as I know.

It’s a double edged sword to be honest. On one side I would love some privacy. On the other side (specially after becoming a parent myself) I would like these monsters taken out of the free world.

I hear that Canada, EU and USA are coming up with really scary policies in upcoming years, which would make privacy a joke. I will link the video when I am browsing from my laptop. All in all, this is gonna get a lot worse than it is right now, IMO. :(

Ok so this was the video I was talking about.

If this really becomes true, it is a scary thing.

Yeah, that is quite scary.
especially since EU one is already passed and is just waiting for enforcement.
Time for a new career, move to EU and become an online "flagger". lol

While KYC may currently be the only way to verify "you", it also opens so many different doors to exploits as well.
Like imagine, your details, being saved for the 21091321031 platforms you signed up to.
That's pretty fucked, meaning, that's 21091321031 different doors for identify thieves to use as well.
Unless they use something universal, like I know AUS has the mygov app currently, but no big tech sites are using that either, besides OPTUS, after they rekt by an hack late last year (and was most likely forced by the gov to use that to track KYC).
Then once again, considering how low the trust for gov is, do you REALLY trust the gov to keep your data safe? then again, they probably already do have our data to begin with right, just not "easily" accessible.

Either way, my thoughts on this is, it will ALL pass, might just not be the current revision, but it will be revised again and again until it eventually gets passed.
Better saddle up for a bright future of parents sueing tech companies cuz their kids are watching internet porn or fake news
