Hey guys, I`m currently setting up a call centre, and I`d like to know how to conduct a decent background check. Not nescessarily in just one area, but in general. In my country(Canada), I know that the mounted police does national criminal checks if the other person is consenting, but it costs 25$ a pop, and that`s a lot given the numbers of CVs... I intend to go to the local courthouse run names through the court transcript system to see if anything pops up but I know that they like to do everything by paper and that the system is not updated very often. The stuff like drug screening,credit checks and such, I have no idea how to get. I never hired anyone before and have no prior experience with background checks, so any help is appreciated, thanks.
