How to combat sudden drop in traffic?

Hi Folks :),
I have 100 Amazon auto blogs (WP-Robot created) , my network of Amazon auto blogs are getting more visitors by each month, however I noticed that some of them (20 blogs) are experiencing sharp drop in traffic level.
I could't figure out why. All blogs created using same method, same template ,same everything, max posts is 5/day for each of the blogs and none of my 100 blogs are deindexed yet.
I believe Google put penalty on some of my sites and the process is automatic, not through manual review. None of my blogs are deindexed from Google.
How to combat this issue? I want to create auto blogs that will survive for at least 1 year.

Have the same problem as you, 1 of my blogs was getting 500 visitors a day and dropped out of nowhere to 250 a day, and kept going lower to 100 where it stabilizes now.

Not sure, but I think it has something to do with bounce % going above 80 or something.
 
This is what has started to concern me with Auto-blogs and perhaps IM in general. You work your tail off to develop a system and the rug is pulled out from under your feet.

So far in 1.5 months I've seen really promising results but I'm not going to ever plan on the income I'm making to be there long term.
 
I noticed with some of my client's websites that the "page speed" addition that Google added awhile back is starting to kick in. I had a client go from ranking #1-#5 for a few of their terms to position 20+. We optimized all their images, reduced JS & CSS file sizes, and cleaned up a bit of their code (got rid of some of the bloat). They're slowly back on the rise.

Definitely worth checking out if those blogs were making you decent cash
 
In my case I don't think bounce rate is the issue ... bounce rate are more or less same accross my network but only 15-20 % of my sites are experiencing traffic drop.

It is because long tail keywords are now treated as normal. You need to fight for them, now it is harder to rank for long tail queries only using power of your blogs.
 
pages speed loading is now considered as part of ranking? damn , WP doesn't really loads that fast for me :(
 
The issue I'm seeing is getting a really hot LTKW from a post and get a huge spike in traffic but then lose steam several days later and see traffic drop off dramatically.

I have several blogs that went from about 15 UV to 200 in a couple days. Three days like this it dropped down to "normal" levels.

How do auto-bloggers "fight" for LTKWs? At what point does that take the "auto" out of auto-blogging is my concern. :eek:
 
I am reading a lot more stories like this with G Caffine being fully rolled out. the indexing is jumping dramatically. A couple of things I have noticed though personally are :

1) My sites with duplicate content are doing poorer. Unique content sites are doing better.
2). My sites on free hosts are doing very poorly. (Probably due to page loading time).

This is just what I am seeing on my sites. I'll wait before changing anything though as G may just be playing with the indexing.

BIG G is keep on changing due to these the traffic is traffic, keep your work on seo try to different things you will beat all and get your visitors back.

These is the reason your traffic has dropped, I to experienced the same it happens but we can always get to back to steady by working little on seo each day.
 
Create links, go on Social Networks and do some viral videos. It works pretty much.
 
Well, I've seen a few of my blogs traffic fluctuate wildly this week while a handful of my most productive blogs steadily continue to grow.

This has been a very good 2nd month of auto-blogging for me and I've exceeded all my goals for the month already so I'm not too concerned about what g00gle is doing at the moment.

I think the best thing to do is to hang tight and not do anything drastic to your blogs to combat the flux that sites are experiencing right now.
 
I just have 3 blogs and I have observed a drop in traffic in one of them. it is in the health niche. the others are doing fine

Tried updating to version 3? Feels like it's going a bit faster, also check with Google chrome inspector what is taking so long with loading your website.
 
Update:

One of my blogs that dropped from 100 plus UV a day to around 5 last week has apparently recovered today after a week. It's back to normal performance levels.

If you have a blog that sees a sudden drop in traffic the best thing to do is nothing. Let the blog recover. I guess it's part of G00gle's juggling.

On a side note, after 2 months my auto blogs are doing very well. It's my opinion that ABs are still a viable way to make some income. We just need to learn what Big G likes and cater to his whims.
 
It is probably Mayday update... Google is penalizing your blogs because they don't have many value for visitors. Try to add more UNIQUE content and do some link building.

Add unique content to an autoblog? I'm not sure I follow.
 
It's called Caffeine. It's not your fault but Google's. There are signs they might be stabilizing as obviously the changes are a mess. And it is not not Mayday. This is been happening since the end of February.
