I'm already using a URL shortener such as bit.ly to hide my referral link, but when a visitor goes to the shortened URL, the URL changes back to my referral link (since I'm not using any webhosting).

How can I hide this so that it remains a URL that doesn't reveal my affiliate link without having to buy domains/webhosting?

you'd have to frame the page...which means you'd have to have your own domain and hosting...you can get .co.cc domains for free...and there are even free hosts you can use...

Okay, if I get free webhosting and frame the ref link within it, is it really necessary to get a domain then? Since they will be on the site regardless of what the URL is.

Also I've never used frames before, do you have a link to a tutorial on how to frame a link?

I just heard that frame traffic doesn't pay out...don't know what truth there is to this.

Ah, my affiliate manager just told me I'm not allowed to put the ref in an iframe...how else can I mask it?

Could you set up a free blog, and host it as an outbound link there ?

You can use free domain name and cloaking service from dyndns company. Try to search from Google "dyndns" as am I am not allowed to post URLs yet.

OP, did you try cloakedlink.com? maybe that might help you.

Google knows all those tricks. It won't help to hide. Of course you can alwayS ask your sponsor for a white label.

You can check out this. Ugh. can't post links google, java script frames howto. There is a pretty good one a few links down.

Easy interface.Commercial solution - http://www.wptraffictools.com (one of my latest).

This uses the iframe method as mentioned above but also stuffs the cookie of the the at the same time, because javascript of remote pages in an iframe will not stuff the cookie properly (not all affiliates use java script to stuff the cookie but some do).

for wordpress only though.
