How to cloak affiliate links properly?

On WordPress, I installed the Redirection plugin and followed Yoast's guide to cloak affiliate links.


However, when I click my aff. hyperlinks (text and pictures), it doesn't show my custom URL.


How can I fix this?

Search for pretty links plugin, i think it's what you need.

I see many are using short link services to cloak their affiliate links. These services also provide tracking of clicks, Geo info etc.

I use Shorten url plugin. It's pretty basic but does what I need. Check this out if you are still looking for a solution:

Use WP plugin Pretty Link Lite
And set:
1. 301 redirection
2. Nofollow
3. Tracking hits
-> You are ready to go!
