Hi fellas, i bought 9 years old domain, which was few times dropped, and spammy with some japanese drugs or something...so, it is any chance to clean the domain from spam?

Maybe.. but why do you want to risk it? You put down so much effort to create a site and content and then wait for fck tons of time for it to rank and now you add in a risk factor of it having a penalty and not ranking at all..

Well, i really like domain name. And name nothing to do with spam, as the name. Wan to use domain for magazine(blog)...or best way to go with fresh name?is there a risk for penalty too?

Thanks for answer..what you mean ”Disavowing links”, have no idea how to do it.cheers
Disavowing links is pretty much when you submit a list of links that point to your site whom you think are spammy linksto google so Google can ignore those links. You can use various tools to find which links are "spammy" or bad links that point to your site.

you can google more info to get a full understanding

Thanks a lot man

In the world of hundreds of tlds and an infinite combination of letters, not finding a better name is sad. Don't waste your time on a dropped, spammed domain name. Google will keep you longer than it should in sandbox and even when you're finally out, you will lose most of your SEO battles because of the backlink profile, which will take a lot of money to have fixed

Thanks, will think about that. Well the name is really nice for my niche, but yeah...it was many times abandoned, dropped ant etc...it is blog/magazine so thats why important for me those things

Even after removing bad links you will need more time to get everything settled. Google is huge and very slow system.
I wonder why did you decide to get such domain name with such history?

I sunk 2 grand into a spammed domain and google still hates its guts after 3 years. Bing loves the crap out of it though. Hope if you decide to try it works out better for you than it did for me lol. I say its possible but it takes a lot of effort and resources.

There’s no really a way to “clean” a spammed domain.. You can always disavow the bad links, but it’s better to just use a clean or new domain. There’s a good reason why it’s been dropped so many times.
