Hi everyone, writing up my first article and wondering how you decide which related keywords to use.
Do you base it off of how popular the related keyword is, competition for the related keyword, or just a gut instinct?

thank you all

Well typically when you pick a keyword you have your main keyword (Usually the one with the most searches or the best you think you can target)

If it's not the best target the best one as well within your article just to get some ground work on it (you'll want that one eventually right? :P)

Then from there just go with all the other related keywords without as many searches (Pick like 3 you don't want to overdo it you can always have more than one page)

Always remember though quality of the article comes first. If some of the keywords are making your article suffer... Cut them!

Good luck :)

I have my main keywords and wanted to supplement it with related keywords as everyone advises. I just got a little lost when searching for related keywords as any main keyword can have hundreds or thousands related keywords. But I see what you're saying in terms of which to pick and it makes sense, I was on the track.

thanks!

you should use the keywords that you want to promote. write your keyword in every paragraph that you write.
It's up to you on which keywords to choose.
