Hi guys I want to buy an old domain for rank on google
How do I know if the domain has been placed in the sandbox by google or is it banned?

Hey

Here's the general method:

http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackh...gh-google-page-ranking-domains-backlinks.html


Check the domain here to see if it's blacklisted:

http://www.blacklistalert.org/

There's no way to see if it's sandboxed unless you know the keywords it ranked for.
If it's expired it's probably not going to be indexed anymore.

There's this tool I saw some where.. Something like Godaddy Domain sniper? It helps you to search for all the domain age in close out auctions. This steps allows you to search for aged domain. Next thing you probably should do is like what frezgta said. Anyway, aged domain does not help significantly in ranking, just so you know.

yes panda23, but new domain for first 6/12 months don't rank well for google dancing and sandobox for new domain...

Strange, I never had any problem ranking a brand new domain.

To check whether the domain is penalized or not,,try the following

Just type these in google search... info:domainnamedotcom// site:domainnamedotcom....If it shows up ,,,its ok otherwise it is de-indexed.
